Ruaa Centre's "My Identity" Initiative Hosts Panel Discussion on Heritage Crisis

Aden- Ruaa Centre for Strategic Studies' "My Identity" initiative organized a panel discussion, "Heritage Crisis: Concept and Challenges," on Wednesday. Dr. Jacqueline Mansour Al-Batani, Ruaa Centre's Director, welcomed participants and highlighted My Identity initiative efforts to protect historical sites and monuments destroyed systematically over the years.
The discussion drew academics, experts and enthusiasts, fostering dialogue on modern heritage challenges. It mainly revolved around the requirement of collective efforts required to protect heritage, the necessity to enhance awareness of heritage importance. It emphasized on developing strategies to overcome heritage crisis. The discussion highlighted the climate change's impact on historical sites. Besides, it significantly promoted intergenerational heritage appreciation.
The discussion recommended a number of suggestions:
